These terms govern the use of Tengos for live translation, conferencing, and related services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Tengos, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this service.

2. Service Description

Tengos is an AI-powered live voice translation platform for multilingual meetings and collaboration, including but not limited to:

• Live multilingual conferences with real-time speech translation and transcription
• Micro-conference and live-conference room management with participant permissions
• Recording uploads, playback, summaries, and transcripts
• Speaker diarization, glossary/terminology support, and translation panels
• Integration with AI services (e.g., OpenAI) for translation, summarization, and insights

Our service utilizes AI providers (including OpenAI) to process audio, transcription, and translation. While we strive for accuracy, outputs may require human review.

3. User Accounts and Authentication

To access our services, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Create an account with accurate information using email registration or Google OAuth
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Promptly notify us of any unauthorized access
• Be responsible for all activities under your account, including conference rooms you create
• Not share your account credentials with unauthorized users

4. Subscription Plans and Usage

Definition of Unlimited*

Tengos AI offers multiple subscription plans with defined usage allowances, including plans described as Unlimited*.

• Unlimited* means there is no fixed minute or session limit for normal professional daily usage, such as meetings, calls, discussions, and real world business communication.
• Unlimited* does not mean unrestricted, automated, or abnormal usage.

5. Payment Processing and Subscriptions

Our payment terms include:

• All payments are processed securely through Stripe, our third-party payment processor
• We do not store card numbers; Stripe handles sensitive payment details
• Subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis when applicable
• Free trials or promotional credits may be offered at our discretion
• Refunds follow our refund policy and applicable law
• Prices may change with prior notice
• You are responsible for applicable taxes or fees

Users can cancel or update subscriptions at any time; previews of charges and proration (if any) are shown before confirming changes.

6. Data Privacy and Usage

Regarding your data and privacy:

• Audio streams, transcripts, translations, recordings, and summaries are processed solely to deliver Tengos features
• We do not use your data for AI model training
• You retain intellectual property rights to your generated content
• Only necessary data is collected for service operation, billing, support, and improvement
• Authentication data is processed securely (including Google OAuth when used)
• We follow reasonable security and data protection practices

7. Refund Policy

Refunds are handled according to our policy: subscription fees are generally non-refundable except as required by law or specified in a promotional offer.

8. Intellectual Property Rights

Regarding content and intellectual property:

• You retain rights to content, transcripts, and recordings you generate or upload
• You are responsible for ensuring your content and use do not violate third-party rights or local laws
• We retain rights to the Tengos platform, code, models, and brand assets
• Generated outputs must comply with our acceptable use guidelines

9. Prohibited Uses

Users must not:

• Use the service for unlawful interception, surveillance, or violating privacy/consent requirements
• Generate content that is illegal, harmful, or infringing
• Attempt to reverse engineer, bypass security, or misuse AI outputs
• Share account or room access with unauthorized users
• Abuse network, audio, or translation resources beyond fair usage limits
• Use the service for spam or harmful content

10. Service Limitations

Please be aware that:

• Service availability depends on network conditions and third-party providers and is not guaranteed 24/7
• AI outputs (transcription/translation/summarization) may be imperfect and require human review
• Fair usage policies may apply to audio duration, concurrent rooms, and API calls
• Features may change, be limited, or be discontinued at our discretion
• The service is not designed for life-critical or safety-of-life use cases

11. Termination

• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or abuse the service
• Modify or discontinue the service at any time
• Refuse service to anyone for legitimate reasons
• Delete or anonymize account data after termination, subject to legal retention requirements

12. Third-Party Services

Our service integrates with the following third-party services:

• OpenAI (and similar AI providers) for transcription, translation, and language processing
• Stripe for secure payment processing
• Google OAuth for authentication
• Cloud storage providers for data persistence

Each service operates under its own terms and policies. Only essential data is shared to deliver features.
