The Tengos Chrome Extension brings transcription and translation to your entire browser environment. Use it to capture audio from Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, and any other browser-based meeting tool — without leaving the meeting or switching apps.
Before you begin
- Chrome 116 or higher is required.
- You must have a Tengos account to sign in after installation.
Installation
- Open the Chrome Web Store.
- Search for Tengos and find the official Tengos extension.
- Click Add to Chrome and confirm the installation.
- Click the Tengos icon in your browser toolbar.
- Sign in with your Tengos account credentials.
Side Panel interface
The extension uses Chrome's native Side Panel — a persistent panel that stays open alongside any webpage while you work.
Available in the Side Panel:

Capturing audio from an online meeting
- Open your meeting in Chrome (Zoom web, Teams, Google Meet, etc.).
- Click the Tengos extension icon in the browser toolbar.
- Select Online Conversation.
- Click Start and grant tab audio sharing permission when prompted.
- Your transcript appears in the Side Panel while the meeting continues in the main window.

Notes
- The extension requires Chrome 116 or higher. It is not supported on other browsers.
- Tab audio sharing permission must be granted each time you start a new Online Conversation session.
