Tengos lets you create custom glossaries to improve transcription accuracy for specialized terms that may not appear in standard speech recognition models — such as brand names, product names, medical terminology, legal language, or technical jargon.
What a glossary does
When you apply a glossary to a meeting, Tengos uses the terms in that glossary to improve recognition of those specific words. This reduces errors in transcripts involving domain-specific vocabulary.
Glossary management
You can create multiple glossaries for different domains and switch between them depending on the meeting context.
How to create a glossary:
- Go to Glossary in the sidebar.
- Click Create Glossary.
- Give the glossary a name and an optional description.
- Add terms manually, or import them in bulk using a CSV file.
Additional options:
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| Import via CSV | Upload a CSV file containing your terms |
| Export as CSV | Download the glossary as a CSV file |
| CSV template | Download a template to format your import file correctly |
Notes
- You can create multiple glossaries for different domains (e.g., one for medical terms, one for legal terms).
- Term count limits vary by plan. Check Settings > Billing to see what is included on your current plan.
