Tengos lets you create custom Translation Terms to improve translation accuracy for specialized terms that may not appear in standard translation models — such as brand names, product names, medical terminology, legal language, or technical jargon.
What Translation Terms do
When you apply Translation Terms to a meeting, Tengos uses those terms to improve translation accuracy for specific words. This reduces errors in translations involving domain-specific vocabulary.
Translation Terms management
You can create multiple Translation Terms lists for different domains and switch between them depending on the meeting context.
How to create Translation Terms:
- Go to Translation Terms in the sidebar.
- Click Create Translation Terms.
- Give the list a name and an optional description.
- Add terms manually, or import them in bulk using a CSV file.
Additional options:
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| Import via CSV | Upload a CSV file containing your terms |
| Export as CSV | Download Translation Terms as a CSV file |
| CSV template | Download a template to format your import file correctly |
Notes
- You can create multiple Translation Terms lists for different domains (e.g., one for medical terms, one for legal terms).
- Term count limits vary by plan. Check Settings > Billing to see what is included on your current plan.
