Tengos AI

Silence auto-pause

Silence Auto-Pause is a safeguard that prevents Tengos from recording extended periods of silence — for example, during a break or when a meeting is put on hold. After a defined period of inactivity, the recording pauses automatically.

How it works

  1. If Tengos detects 10 consecutive minutes of silence, it begins a countdown.
  2. A 5-second warning appears on screen before the recording pauses.
  3. If no audio is detected during the countdown, the recording pauses automatically.
  4. When the meeting resumes, click Resume in the banner to continue transcription.

Resuming a paused recording

  • When the recording is paused, a banner appears at the top of the meeting view.
  • Click Resume to restart transcription immediately.
