Starting a new meeting in Tengos takes just a few seconds. From the Home dashboard, choose the meeting type that fits your situation and configure your language settings before you begin.
Before you begin
- Your browser must have microphone access enabled for live recording modes.
- For Online Conversation, the Tengos Chrome Extension must be installed.
Steps
- Sign in to your Tengos account and go to the Home dashboard.
- Click the button for the meeting type you want to use:
- Live Conversation — for one-on-one sessions
- Multi-Speaker — for group meetings
- Analyze Recording — to upload an existing file
- Online Conversation — to capture audio from a browser-based meeting
- When prompted, select your source language (the language being spoken).
- Select your target language if you want live translation.
- Click Start (or Start Recording for Multi-Speaker) to begin.
Your transcript will appear on screen in real time as the meeting progresses.
Tips
- Set your default source and target languages in Settings > Preferences to skip the language selection step each time.
- You can rename a meeting after it ends from the All Records page.
Notes
- If you see a microphone permission error, check your browser's site settings and make sure Tengos is allowed to access your microphone.
