Create a meeting

Starting a new meeting in Tengos takes just a few seconds. From the Home dashboard, choose the meeting type that fits your situation and configure your language settings before you begin.

Before you begin

  • Your browser must have microphone access enabled for live recording modes.
  • For Online Conversation, the Tengos Chrome Extension must be installed.

Steps

  1. Sign in to your Tengos account and go to the Home dashboard.
  2. Click the button for the meeting type you want to use:
    • Live Conversation — for one-on-one sessions
    • Multi-Speaker — for group meetings
    • Analyze Recording — to upload an existing file
    • Online Conversation — to capture audio from a browser-based meeting
  3. When prompted, select your source language (the language being spoken).
  4. Select your target language if you want live translation.
  5. Click Start (or Start Recording for Multi-Speaker) to begin.

Your transcript will appear on screen in real time as the meeting progresses.

Tips

  • Set your default source and target languages in Settings > Preferences to skip the language selection step each time.
  • You can rename a meeting after it ends from the All Records page.

Notes

  • If you see a microphone permission error, check your browser's site settings and make sure Tengos is allowed to access your microphone.
