The Filler Word Filter automatically removes common spoken filler words from your transcript — words like "um," "uh," and "like" that don't add meaning to the content. Enabling this keeps your transcript cleaner and easier to read.
Supported languages
Filler word removal is currently supported in:
- English — removes words such as "um," "uh," "like," "you know," and similar
- Vietnamese
- Japanese
How to enable the Filler Word Filter
- During an active meeting, open the Settings panel (accessible from the meeting toolbar).
- Find the Filler Word Filter toggle and turn it on.
- Review the default list of filtered words for your language.
- Optionally, customize which words are filtered — add or remove specific terms to match your preferences.
- To return to the default list at any time, click Reset to Defaults.
Notes
- Settings are saved locally per device. If you use Tengos on multiple devices, configure the filter separately on each.
Tips
- If a word is being incorrectly filtered (for example, "like" used as a verb in context), remove it from the filter list manually.
- Enable the filter at the start of a meeting for the cleanest results.
